Enable Zello’s newest iOS feature

With the latest Zello update and iOS 16, you can now talk without having to unlock your phone or with another app open and Zello in the background.

How to enable the new features:

1: Tap your profile photo on the top left corner

2: Select “Enable Zello on lock screen and HUD”

How does it work?

Heads up display

When you have another app open and Zello is in the background, you can either select the blue status icon at the top of your iPhone or respond after receiving a live voice message. See screenshot below for an example:

* IMPORTANT IF YOU TAP LEAVE YOU WILL NO LONGER RECEIVE LIVE MESSAGES *

Lock Screen

When your iPhone is locked and you receive a live Zello voice message you tap and hold “talk” straight from your lock screen! See screenshot for example:
