How do I use the volume key as a PTT button on my Android? Or change the button?
Most Android users use Volume or Camera buttons for PTT. Some may be able to assign headset buttons. However, due to system limitations, these work only when the screen is on and the “talk” screen is in the foreground.
You can map a physical button to use as PTT that works when your conversation screen is active.
Follow these steps to change your PTT button:
- Go to Options>Push-to-talk button.
- Tap Select push-to-talk button.
- Select the button you want to use.
