This feature is only available on the Android version of Zello.

By default, Zello is configured to use the push-to-talk (PTT) button on the talk screen. In addition to assigning external PTT buttons, you can also use buttons on your device for PTT if you wish.

Due to system limitations, device PTT buttons only work while the screen is on with the talk screen in the foreground.

Assigning a PTT Button

To use a PTT button on your device, follow the instructions below.

1. Tap the vertical dots icon in the top right corner of the screen.

2. Select Options.

3. Select Push-to-talk buttons.

4. Select the button you wish to use from the list.
