Setting a Bluetooth PTT button for Android

You can set a Bluetooth button as the PTT key to use while Zello is running in the foreground.

1. Go to Zello Options

2. Select Push-to-talk buttons

3. Select + icon at lower right corner to add a button.

Press and hold doesn't work with Bluetooth, but you can use the Bluetooth button to talk under these conditions:

  1. The headset supports A2DP and AVRCP and has media control buttons (Play / Pause / FF / RWD)
  2. Enable "Toggle" under Push-to-talk Screen button action.

Then press once to start talking and press again to stop.

IMPORTANT: Support for A2DP Bluetooth profile required by Zello. Compatible headsets are most reliably identified by A2DP support mentioned in headset specifications.
