How do I add contacts?
Use Add a contact feature in menu and enter a Zello user ID, e-mail, or phone number into the search bar and tap the "Search" button. If the user is not found, you can send an e-mail or text message invite. If the user has an account, tap the user ID and Zello will send a connection request. The person you added will need to approve your request before you can start communicating.
If you use Zello on iPhone or Android, you can also use 'Address book' to add contacts. Tap "Address Book" to see two tabs:
- All contacts. Opens your address book on your phone.
- Contacts on Zello. Lists contacts from your address book who have Zello accounts. Tap the names of the people you want to add or invite to Zello, then tap "Done".
For contacts who have Zello accounts, Zello sends an connection request. After they agree to connect, they appear in your contact list with Available or Busy status.
For contacts who don't have a recognized Zello account, an e-mail message appears with all the information filled in for you. Edit the e-mail if you like and then tap "Send" to send the e-mail invitation.
You may also use the QR Code Scanner to add a contact. Scan their QR code which can be found under their profile picture.
