This article only applies to Android users.

To prevent Zello from automatically opening when you turn on your device or when you receive messages, disable the auto-start feature by following these steps:

1. Tap the vertical dots icon in the top right corner of the screen.

2. Select Options.

3. Select Behavior.

4. Toggle off the Start Zello when phone powers on option.

Also, make sure you sign out of Zello when you wish to shut down the app. To sign out of Zello:

1. Tap the vertical dots icon in the top right corner of the screen.

2. Select Sign out.
