Battery Conservation

If Zello Friends & Family is draining your device's battery, try implementing the following steps:

  • Use a WiFi connection instead of cellular when possible.
  • Change your status to Offline while not actively using Zello.
  • If you're using an Android device with an external PTT button, use Zello while your screen is off (more information here).
  • Increase Keep alive interval from the advanced settings menu (Android only, more information here).
