Can I control history from the management console?

This article is written for: Zello Work Zello Friends & Family.

  • Enabling local history means messages will be saved either on the in-use device's SD card or built-in data storage. Disabling local history means messages received on a device aren't saved on that device.

  • If you enable the Protect History setting, users will not be able to delete their history.

  • Individual users can control some history settings from their device. On iOS, this includes when messages are deleted and if images sent over Zello are saved to their device's photos. On Android, this includes when messages are deleted; the voice storage size; and the image storage size.

  • If messages are deleted from a user's device unexpectedly, it's likely they're reaching their device's maximum storage limit. Learn More.
  • Admins: Administer History Controls

To administer controls around local device history for your network, follow the steps below:

    1. Sign in to the management console at [yournetworkname].zellowork.com.

    2. From the taskbar, select Settings.

    3. Local history settings are administered on the basis of platform. If you'd like to administer changes on a wide-scale basis, consider searching for "history" in the search bar on the right. Alternatively, you can select the OS/device type from the menu and scroll down to that groups' Local History section.

Tables can't be imported directly. Please insert an image of your table which can be found here.

      4. Administer the settings as intended, then click Save and Apply.

Use the search bar to find all history-related settings

Or select the OS/device type from the menu and find the Local History section
