Off-duty Mode lets you silence incoming Zello messages and notifications when you are not working. When Off-duty Mode is turned on, Zello stays signed in but does not play live audio. You can also schedule Off-duty Mode to turn on and off automatically based on your work hours. This article walks you through how to enable Off-duty Mode on iOS and Android devices. It also covers how to schedule Off-duty Mode on both platforms.
Silencing messages
iOS
1. Log in to the Zello app and tap the user icon.
2. Use the toggle next to Silence messages in order to silence incoming messages and notifications.
Note: When the toggle is green that means that Off-duty Mode is enabled. Furthermore, your status will display to other users in the network that you have messages silenced.
Android
1. Log in to the Zello app and tap the user icon.
2. Use the toggle next to Silence messages in order to silence incoming messages and notifications.
Note: When the toggle is blue that means that Off-duty Mode is enabled. Furthermore, your status will display to other users in the network that you have messages silenced.
Scheduling Off-duty Mode
iOS
1. Log in to the Zello app and tap the user icon.
2. Tap Schedule.
3. Toggle Enable Schedule. Select the days within the week that you would like to receive live messages and notifications.
Note: A blue circle around a day means that live messages and notifications will play on that day.
4. Tap Start time or End time to open a drop down menu that allows you to set the times that you would like to receive live messages and notifications.
Android
1. Log in to the Zello app and tap the user icon.
2. Tap Schedule.
3. Toggle Enable Schedule. Select the days within the week that you would like to receive live messages and notifications.

4. Tap Start time or End time to set the times that you would like to receive live messages and notifications. Click OK to confirm your choice.
