Blue dots means the user's location data is current and has been updated according to your configured time interval; purple dots indicate the data may be outdated. [See this article for more information. ](https://2567349.hs-sites.com/zw/map-statuses-purple-blue-dots?hsLang=en) ### Historical Breadcrumb tracking --- Historical breadcrumb tracking provides a time-stamped trail of a user's previous locations.  ![](https://support.zello.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Knowledge%20Base%20Import/36468240543373-2.png?width=670&height=413&name=36468240543373-2.png) Clicking on a blue dot gives you the time, travel speed, and battery life of the user's device at that point in time. Additionally, clicking **Open in Google Maps** will open the user's coordinates at that time in Google Maps.  ![](https://support.zello.com/hubfs/Knowledge%20Base%20Import/36468240544269-2.png) To access a user's historical breadcrumb tracking, open the Maps tab and click on the user's dot.
