How It Works
Zello Talk Screen Summary Buttons
Users can request a summary of unread messages from the talk screen. Users can also select a range of time based summaries in the Options Menu on the PTT talk screen or History Screen. The options available are: Summarize the last 1, 3, 6 and 12 hours and an option to summarize since Monday for users looking to get an update from current day, to the start of the week (Monday).
Zello Channel History Screen Summary Button
Users also have a few options to summarize from the history screen. Tapping on the summarize button at the bottom of the screen opens a range of summary options. Users can select to summarize unreads, the last 1, 3, 6, 12 hours and Since Monday.
Zello Channel History Screen Date Pill Summary Button
Additionally, users can go back to any previous day and tap the date pill to generate a summary for all messages sent and/or delivered each day or unread messages delivered that day
Delivery
Generated summaries appear inline in the channel history for later reference or on the talk screen as an overlay modal.
Summaries are on-demand and user-initiated and displayed privately to the user only.
Limitations
-
Supports channel messages only (not 1:1 messages).
-
Requires Zello's transcriptions feature to be enabled.
Privacy & Data Use

Message data is retained according to OpenAI's standard retention policies.
